The Plant Room is where you go when your apartment needs more green and less beige. This Berkeley neighborhood shop packs in a serious collection of houseplants, from easy pothos for beginners to the finicky fiddle leaf figs people love to complain about. The staff actually knows plant care, not just how to ring you up. They'll talk you through light levels, watering schedules, and whether that monstera is actually dying or just adjusting. Beyond plants, you'll find pots, planters, and gifts that make the whole thing feel more like browsing a friend's well-styled living room than running shopping errands. It's a slow, happy kind of shopping trip. Good for a Saturday stroll down 38th Ave, good for picking up a housewarming gift, good for finally replacing the plant you killed last winter. Locals keep coming back for the selection and the advice that actually works.
