A little bit of Italy comes to Denver every summer when 200-plus artists transform Golden Triangle into an open-air pastel museum. Wander, watch the work evolve hour by hour, hit a Santa Fe Drive gallery after, and post the kind of photos that do not need a filter.
It is free, family friendly, and runs both Saturday and Sunday. Most artists work the whole weekend on a single piece, so coming back Sunday afternoon to see the finished work is half the fun. Vote for People's Choice while you are there.
Two hundred-plus artists working in chalk pastels across Colfax Avenue and Lincoln Street. Live music, food trucks, interactive art moments, and People's Choice Awards voting. Free to attend.
Light rail to Civic Center or 18th and California. Walk Santa Fe Drive afterward, the galleries are open extra hours that weekend. Bring water and sunscreen, the streets are pure asphalt and the chalk gets hot.
