One of Denver's longest-running culture festivals turns 60 and goes harder than ever. Gyros, the multi-course Taste of Greece tasting, tavernas pouring Greek wine and ouzo, live dancing, and cooking demos. It is the rare festival worth showing up hungry, sober, and willing to learn the line dance.
The festival is hosted on the grounds of the Assumption Cathedral, which means you can take a tour of the church and the iconography while you are there. The 60th anniversary year is bringing a few special programs that have not been on the schedule in years.
What to Expect
Authentic Greek food prepared on-site by parishioners, multiple stages of live Greek music, traditional dance with audience participation, church tours, and cultural exhibitions. Beer garden with Greek wine and ouzo flights.
Plan Your Night
Free parking is limited on Saturday night, plan to walk a few blocks or rideshare in. Saturday afternoon is the busiest slot. Sunday is more relaxed if you want a quieter visit. Cash works everywhere, cards at most.
