CGH Is the Funniest Law Firm in Colorado, and It's Working. Let's Break It Down.
The best law firm marketing in Denver right now is a free pair of earplugs at an EDM pop-up.
The Breakdown is our series on Denver businesses whose marketing is actually working, and why.
The best law firm marketing in Denver right now is a free pair of earplugs.
If you've been to an EDM pop-up in the city this year, there's a decent chance a personal injury firm handed you a pair. That's CGH Injury Lawyers, the funniest law firm in the state, and it's working. Let's break it down.
Who they are
CGH Injury Lawyers is a Denver personal injury firm that went by Cheney Galluzzi & Howard until it rebranded in April 2026. The office is at 2701 Lawrence St, where Five Points runs into RiNo, and the firm takes car, truck and motorcycle crashes, premises cases and wrongful death claims across Colorado. The tagline is "It's more than money." It's one of the firms in our guide to Denver's best personal injury law firms.
What they're actually doing
They go where young Denver already is
CGH shows up at EDM pop-ups with a booth and a sign that says FREE STUFF, and the free stuff is earplugs. When Denver EDM Friends asked them to help sponsor the free SoDown pop-up at Mission Ballroom Plaza in October, they said yes and came back to hand out more. They've worked the HEYZ pop-up on a Sunday night too. In their own caption, they take hearing seriously as "avid ravers." Two of the city's EDM community accounts follow them on Instagram. If that's your scene too, here's where Denver's EDM crowd goes out.
The giveaway makes their point for them
This is the smartest part. An injury firm's whole job is protecting people, and earplugs at a loud show are protection you can feel that same night. Nobody has to explain the connection. A branded koozie would have been forgotten by Monday.
They have a mascot
Mr. Pancake is a dog in a Broncos jersey, and he runs the giveaways. This month he gave away four club-level seats to the Broncos' game against Seattle, and the account floated a couple of Avalanche tickets the same week. It's very hard to stay mad at a law firm whose dog is handing out club seats.
They turned followers into a game
In June, CGH partnered with PassPass, a platform that runs giveaways and digital scavenger hunts, on "cash drops" around Colorado. Then they put out a challenge: if the account hit 15,000 Instagram followers before the next drop, they'd double the prize pool. They're at about 10,000 now.
The account sounds like actual people
There's a "POV: You take a job at a law firm and somehow working on a Sunday night looks like this" video shot from inside a crowd. There's a behind-the-scenes reel from their commercial shoot featuring "locals looking very confused." The SoDown caption said they were "So Down with this."
Mixed in with the fun is genuinely useful stuff, like managing partner Kevin Cheney explaining whether black ice gets a driver off the hook for an I-70 crash (short answer: not automatically). They also post shout-outs to their intake team and an election guide. All of it adds up to more than 2,000 Instagram posts.
Why it works
My take: relatability.
Nobody shops around for a personal injury lawyer. You need one on a bad day, usually right after a crash, and you call the name that comes to mind first. CGH is making sure that name belongs to the firm that handed you earplugs at a show and gave away Broncos seats.
The fun stuff is also backed by the part that actually gets someone to call. When you look them up, they're sitting at 5.0 stars across 364 Google reviews. The pop-ups put the name in your head, and the reviews are waiting when you search it.
What I'd fix
- The obvious website is a dead end. The firm is CGH Injury Lawyers and the handle is @cghinjurylawyers, but cghinjurylawyers.com is a "launching soon" placeholder. The real site is cghlawfirm.com. Anyone who types the brand name into a browser after a show lands on a blank page. That's a five-minute redirect.
- TikTok is lagging. They have about 10,000 followers on Instagram and about 2,600 on TikTok, with 82,600 likes. Footage from inside a rave crowd is made for TikTok, and that's where the next 5,000 followers are most likely to come from.
What other Denver businesses should steal
- Show up in person where your customers already spend their weekends.
- Give away something that makes your point without a pitch.
- Let your account sound like the people who work there.
- Back it up with real reviews, since that's what people check before they call.
No relationship with CGH, and nobody paid for this. Run a Denver business doing something worth breaking down? Tell us about it.
