Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (July 15)

The best of Wednesday and Thursday in Denver: shows, socials, and reasons the weekend can wait.

The weekend is a construct. It's a calendar trick some office invented so you'd feel bad about going out on a Wednesday. Tonight and tomorrow both have genuinely good stuff happening, so let's just pick the best version of each and go live our lives.

Tonight

The Head And The Heart with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, 7:30pm at Red Rocks. This is the one to build your whole night around. Full orchestra behind a band that already sounds huge, Evan Honer opening, at the best venue in the country. Worth the drive up, worth being tired tomorrow.

Wednesday Gamenight at the Brewery, 6pm at Four Noses Brewing in Park Hill. Running since 2012, so these people know how to run a game night. Grab a beer, grab a board, no pressure to be good at anything.

Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose. Free lesson, no cliques, just a bunch of 20s and 30s learning to boot scoot at Denver's honky tonk. Cheap, easy, and way more fun than scrolling your phone on the couch.

HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Free run, dinner and drink specials waiting for you at the finish line. Hard to argue with a run that ends in a burger.

Denver Night Life Pickleball Social, 5pm at Southpark Pickleball Complex in Highlands Ranch. Nearly 17,000 members deep, all skill levels, easiest way to meet people who also didn't want to sit home tonight.

Tomorrow

The Head And The Heart, 7:30pm at Red Rocks, night two. Same great band, this time with Wilderado opening. If tonight's sold out or you just want round two, it's right there waiting.

Samuel J. Comroe, 7:30pm at Denver Improv. Solid stand up, easy Thursday plan, and you're home at a reasonable hour.

Lee Brice: Live in Concert, 7pm at the Fillmore Auditorium. If you want a full country show on a Thursday, this is it.

Chris Botti, 6:30pm at Denver Botanic Gardens. Trumpet under the string lights, drink in hand, feels like a treat for a random Thursday.

Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7pm at Denver Milk Market. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and trivia that actually makes you think. Grab a team and go.

L'Apero de Denver French Happy Hour, 7pm, rotating patios around town. Low key wine and good conversation, the kind of Thursday that doesn't feel like a Thursday.

Lakeview, 8pm at Bluebird Theatre. If you want a late one, this is your move.
