Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (August 26)

Okay so here's the thing about "the weekend": it's just Friday and Saturday wearing a costume. Nobody actually said Wednesday and Thursday can't have plans in them, we just collectively agreed to be boring on school nights and I'm tired of it.

This week gives you a real choice between two big nights of live music and some genuinely fun low-key stuff if concerts aren't your speed. Here's what's worth rearranging your bedtime for.

Tonight

Daniel Caesar: Son Of Spergy Tour, 7:30pm at Ball Arena. If you've had "Best Part" on a playlist since 2017, this is your night. Big arena, bigger feelings.

Ray LaMontagne, 7pm at Red Rocks with The Weather Station opening. A Wednesday at Red Rocks hits different, way less traffic, way more room to actually enjoy the sunset over the rocks.

Gathr: Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose, 5450 N Valley Highway. Free lesson, no cliques, boot-scoot for an hour then board games after. Zero dance experience required, just a willingness to look a little silly.

Sixpence None the Richer, 7:30pm at The Federal Theatre. "Kiss Me" lives rent free in everyone's head, might as well hear it live in a room that size.

Mid-Week Pickleball Social, 5pm at Southpark Pickleball Complex in Highlands Ranch. All skill levels welcome, nearly 12,000 members deep, and it's the easiest way to make plans with strangers who might become friends.

HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Free, low pressure, and there's dinner and drink specials waiting for you at the finish line. Hard to beat that trade.

Tomorrow

My Chemical Romance: The Black Parade 2026, 7pm at Coors Field. This is the big one. Eyeliner, black parade uniforms, a full stadium screaming "Welcome to the Black Parade" under the lights. No tailgating in the lot, so eat before you go.

An Evening With Goose, 7pm at Red Rocks. A full evening set means no opener to sit through, just Goose stretching out all night at the best venue in the state.

Megan Moroney: The Cloud 9 Tour, 7pm at Ball Arena. If you want country without the drive to Red Rocks, this is your move.

Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7pm at Denver Milk Market, 1800 Wazee St. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and trivia sharp enough to actually humble you. Grab a team.

L'Apero de Denver French Happy Hour, 7pm, floats between spots like Forest Room 5 and Barcelona Wine Bar. Email in, get added to the WhatsApp, show up to good wine on a good patio. Low key one of the best standing invites in the city.

Ryan Montbleau, 8pm at Ophelia's Electric Soapbox. Smaller room, warm rock and soul sound, the kind of show where you end up closer to the stage than you planned.
