Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (September 30)
The best of Wednesday and Thursday in Denver: shows, socials, and reasons the weekend can wait.
Ok so real talk: Wednesday and Thursday this week are stacked harder than most weekends, and I'm not just saying that to guilt you into leaving the couch. Red Rocks has shows both nights, there's a free metal show, and Denver Milk Market is doing trivia with $10 pizza. The weekend can wait.
Here's what's actually worth putting pants on for.
Tonight
The Backseat Lovers, 7pm at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Friko opens. This is the one that sells out and you'll be annoyed you missed it. Go.
Cavetown: Running With Scissors Tour, 7pm at Summit Music Hall. If you know, you know. If you don't, it's a great gateway show.
Paris Paloma, 8pm at Ogden Theatre. 16 and over, so leave the middle schoolers home, but bring everyone else.
Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose (5450 N Valley Highway). Free lesson, no cliques, board games after. This is the move if you want low stakes and a little sweat without a gym.
HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Free, and there are dinner and drink specials waiting when you get back. Basically a run that pays you back in beer.
Tomorrow
Beck: Ride Lonesome Tour, 8pm at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Two nights of Red Rocks in a row, this time with Beck. That's a lot of good excuses to drive up the mountain this week.
Chance The Rapper: Coloring Book 10 Year Anniversary Tour, 7pm at Fillmore Auditorium. A whole album's worth of nostalgia, live, in a room that size. Get there early.
Rez Metal with Soulfly, Nailbomb, and more, 7pm at Levitt Pavilion Denver. Free, all ages, rain or shine. Six bands for zero dollars is not a typo.
Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7pm at Denver Milk Market. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and trivia that actually gets competitive. Good excuse to round up the group chat.
L'Apero de Denver French Happy Hour, 7pm, location rotates (this week it's on a patio somewhere nice). Email in, get added to the WhatsApp, show up with wine on the brain.
Colorado Harriers Tempo Thursday, 6:30pm at Denver Beer Company. Free run, BOGO beers when you finish. The math on this one works out in your favor.
