Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (October 7)
The best of Wednesday and Thursday in Denver: shows, socials, and reasons the weekend can wait.
Okay real talk, it's October 7th and the lineup this week is actually stacked. We've got Red Rocks two nights in a row, which almost never happens with shows this good back to back, plus the usual run clubs and happy hours that make a Wednesday feel like a plan instead of a placeholder.
Pick one night to go big and one to keep it low key. Here's what's worth your actual time.
Tonight
Ella Langley, 7pm at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Kameron Marlowe and Gabriella Rose open. This is the kind of lineup that makes you grateful you live here, grab a blanket and go.
HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Free run, dinner and drink specials waiting for you at the finish line. Hard to beat that math.
Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose, 5450 N Valley Highway. Free lesson, no cliques, boot scoot your way through a Wednesday and then hang for board games after.
Runners Roost Wednesday Run Club, 6pm at 1685 S Colorado Blvd. Free group run straight from the store, zero pressure, good way to shake off the day.
Pickleball Social, 5pm at Southpark Pickleball Complex in Highlands Ranch. Nearly 17,000 members deep, all skill levels welcome, easiest way to meet people who aren't just staring at their phones.
Tomorrow
Tape B: Hallow Rocks, 6pm at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. PEEKABOO, Flava D, XaeboR, and Jiqui all on the bill. This is a bass music takeover of one of the best venues on earth, go feel your chest cavity vibrate.
Madeon, 9pm at Mission Ballroom. Synthpop and house from one of the genre's best, Mgna Crrrta opening. Mission's sound system alone is worth the ticket.
Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7pm at Denver Milk Market, 1800 Wazee St. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and a quiz that's genuinely harder than you think. Downtown's best Thursday habit.
L'Apero de Denver, 7pm, location floats (Forest Room 5, Improper City, Barcelona Wine Bar). A standing French happy hour on patios around the city, email in to get the WhatsApp invite and just show up.
Tempo Thursday, 6:30pm at Denver Beer Company, 1695 Platte St. Run first, BOGO beers after. The whole point of a weekday run club, honestly.
Denver Trail Runners Thursday Evening Run, 6:15pm at a foothills trailhead (check the group for location). 60 to 75 minutes on dirt, dinner after, free. Good excuse to get out of downtown for the evening.
More where that came from over at /events.
