Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (October 21)
The best of Wednesday and Thursday in Denver: shows, socials, and reasons the weekend can wait.
The "it's a school night" excuse expired a while ago. You've got MUNA at Red Rocks tonight and Macklemore at Red Rocks tomorrow, which means this is genuinely one of the best 48 hour stretches for live music Denver's had in a minute. Pick your night, or honestly, pick both.
Everything else on the calendar this week is low commitment and high payoff: free workouts, free dance lessons, cheap beer, and one very good trivia night. Here's where to put your energy.
Tonight
MUNA with hemlocke springs, 8pm at Red Rocks. This is the one. Pop perfection against a red rock backdrop on a Wednesday in October, and tickets are still floating around if you move fast.
Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose. Free lesson, zero cliques, board games after. This is the easiest "yes" on the list if you've never two-stepped in your life.
HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Run a few miles, then dinner and drink specials are waiting for you. The whole point of a run club is the part that happens after the run.
Run around City Park, 6:30pm, NW corner of the museum parking lot. Low key, scenic, and a good excuse to see City Park at golden hour before it gets dark at 5pm for the next five months.
Mid-Week Pickleball Social, 5pm at Southpark Pickleball Complex in Highlands Ranch. Almost 12,000 members deep and every skill level shows up, including people who've never held a paddle.
Tomorrow
Macklemore, 7pm at Red Rocks. If tonight's Red Rocks show wasn't enough Red Rocks for you, here's round two. Different crowd, different energy, same unbeatable venue.
Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7pm at Denver Milk Market. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and trivia that's actually hard enough to be fun. Bring three friends and pretend you know sports.
L'Apero de Denver, 7pm, location rotates (this week it's one of Forest Room 5, Improper City, or Barcelona Wine Bar). Wine, good patios, and an easy way to meet people without the app small talk.
Skillet, Escape the Fate, Autumn Kings, 5:30pm at Fillmore Auditorium. If you need to scream your feelings out on a Thursday, this is the venue for it.
Tempo Thursday with Colorado Harriers, 6:30pm at Denver Beer Company. Tempo run followed by BOGO beers. The math on this one works out in your favor.
