The Drop: 10 EDM Shows for the Weekend (Nov 6 to Nov 8)

Red Rocks has two nights of bass this weekend, Dabin's crew Friday and ATLiens Saturday. Meanwhile the clubs are running everything from a $5 garage party to a drum and bass night at Club Vinyl. Sunday's quiet, so plan around Friday and Saturday.

Dabin, William Black, Chyl, Frosttop, Paper Skies: Fri Nov 6, 6:30pm, Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Future bass, melodic dubstep, pop edm.

Five names on one bill at Red Rocks, with Dabin, William Black and Chyl up top and Frosttop and Paper Skies filling it out. If melodic dubstep and future bass are your thing, this is the deepest lineup of the weekend in the best outdoor room in the state. It starts at 6:30pm, so get there early for the openers.

Friday, Nov 6

• Dirty South & Jerome Isma-Ae: Fri Nov 6, 11pm, The Black Box. Progressive house, trance. $40. Progressive house and trance from two names in a small room, which makes the $40 easier to swallow.
• Qr Pres: Strange Language: Fri Nov 6, 11pm, Location TBA (sent to ticket holders). $15-20, 21+. It's a pop-up spot, so the address goes to ticket holders. Good pick if a 21+ mystery room sounds fun.

Saturday, Nov 7

• ATLiens: Sat Nov 7, 6pm, Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Dubstep, bass music, trap. Dubstep and trap at Red Rocks, a strong second night if Friday didn't wreck you.
• Julien-K w/ Cruel Mourning + Millennial Romance: Sat Nov 7, 7pm, HQ. Electronic rock, industrial. Electronic rock and industrial with three acts in a small room, for when you want guitars with your synths.
• Cut Copy (DJ Set): Sat Nov 7, 8pm, Meow Wolf Denver Convergence Station. Synthpop, indie dance. $25, 18+. Synthpop and indie dance inside Meow Wolf for $25, about as weird a room as Denver has.
• Reload Presents Dieselboy + Captain Bass: Sat Nov 7, 10pm, Club Vinyl. Drum and bass. $20, 21+. Drum and bass in a big nightclub for $20, starting at 10pm.
• Abyss w/ Mark Broom: Sat Nov 7, 11pm, Location TBA (sent to ticket holders). Techno. $15-20, 21+. Mark Broom playing techno at an unpublished spot, with the address going to ticket holders.
