The Sweat Report: Denver Fitness This Week (July 14)

Run clubs, classes, and the active plans worth showing up for this week in Denver: plus where to recover after.

Tuesday in Denver means you've got about six different run clubs to choose from before happy hour even starts, plus a table waiting for you if running isn't your thing this week. That's the beauty of this list: pick your people, pick your pace, and let the rest of the week take care of itself.

Below is the stuff worth actually putting on your calendar, the standing plans that turn into standing friendships, the one-offs you'll regret skipping, and where to go afterward so your body doesn't hate you by Thursday.

The Standing Plans

Denver Run Club Tuesday Social Run, Tuesdays 6pm at Ratio Beerworks, 2920 Larimer St. Free 5K, drinks after, and it's the easiest way to turn a Tuesday into an actual night out.

HTB Run Club, Wednesdays 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Dinner and drink specials after the run, which is basically the whole point.

November Project Denver, Wednesdays 6:15am, alternating between Civic Center Park and the Capitol steps. Free, brutal, and full of regulars who will absolutely yell your name when you walk up.

Denver Boardgame Night, Wednesdays 6:30pm at 4 Noses Park Hill, 4040 Dahlia St. Running since 2012, and beginners share a table with rules-lawyer veterans without anyone getting weird about it.

Colorado Harriers Tempo Thursday, Thursdays 6:30pm at Denver Beer Company, 1695 Platte St. BOGO beers after the tempo run, which is reason enough to show up even on a slow week.

Denver Trail Runners Thursday Evening Run, Thursdays 6:15pm at foothills trailheads announced weekly. Roughly an hour on trail, dinner after, and a crowd that's genuinely easy to talk to.

Citius RC Friday Breakfast Club, Fridays 6am at rotating coffee shops. Easy pace, no pressure, and coffee waiting at the finish.

November Project Friday Workout, Fridays 6:15am at a different Denver park each week (announced Thursdays on IG/FB). Same free, no-excuses energy as Wednesday, different scenery.

Citius RC Saturday Long Run, Saturdays 7am in summer, around 8 miles with pace groups so nobody gets left behind. Location posted weekly on Strava and IG.

Union Station Farmers Market, Saturdays 8am to 1pm at Union Station Plaza. Not a workout, but it's where half the run club crowd ends up afterward with a coffee and a tote bag.

Denver Trail Runners Sunday Long Run, Sundays 7 to 8am, 1.5 to 2 hours on foothill or mountain trails announced weekly. A solid way to earn your Sunday nap.

Odell Brewing Run Club, Mondays 6:30pm at Odell Brewing RiNo, 2945 Larimer St. Free social run straight out of the taproom, beer already waiting when you get back.

Cerebral Brewing Run Club, Mondays 6pm at Cerebral Brewing, 1477 Monroe St. Same idea, different neighborhood, still ends with a pint in your hand.

Dungeons and Dragons and Drafts, Tuesdays 6pm at Copper Kettle Brewing Co, 1338 S Valentia St. A 3,000-person group that will slot you into a table, a campaign, or a one-shot even if you've never rolled a die.

This Week Only

Mile High Young Professionals Monthly Social, Tuesday July 14 at The University Club, 1673 Sherman St. Show up at 5:45 for orientation if you're new, the whole thing runs like clockwork every second Tuesday.

Wednesday Gamenight at the Brewery, Wednesday July 15 at Four Noses Brewing, Park Hill, 4040 Dahlia St. Denver's longest-running game night, rolling dice every week since 2012 and rotating between four breweries.

Run around City Park, Wednesday July 15, 6:30pm. Meet in the NW corner of the museum parking lot near the entrance to the underpass, easy way to see a new corner of the park with new people.

Yoga on the Rocks, Saturday July 18, 7am at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Doing sun salutations on that stage never gets old.

Yoga on the Rocks with Better Buzz Yoga, Saturday July 18, 7am at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Same iconic setting, this session's hosted by Better Buzz, so grab a spot early either way.
