The Sweat Report: Denver Fitness This Week (October 20)

Run clubs, classes, and the active plans worth showing up for this week in Denver: plus where to recover after.

Fall running weather in Denver is basically cheat code season. Crisp mornings, cold beers waiting at the finish line, and more run clubs than bars on Larimer. If you've been meaning to make friends who also like a 6am track workout or a Tuesday night 5K that ends in a taproom, this is your week to show up.

Below is the rundown: the standing plans that run every single week (these are where the regulars are, and regulars are how you actually make friends), the one real one-off worth circling, and three spots to fix yourself after you've asked your legs to do too much.

The Standing Plans

Denver Run Club Tuesday Social Run, Tuesdays 6pm at Ratio Beerworks (2920 Larimer St). About 5K, then drinks. This is the easiest entry point in the city if you want a crowd that's there for the social part as much as the run.

HTB Run Club, Wednesdays 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Dinner and drink specials after. Year-round, which means the regulars actually know each other by now.

November Project Denver, Wednesdays 6:15am, location alternates between Civic Center Park and the Capitol steps. Free, brutal, and the kind of group that hugs strangers. If you want a built-in friend group by December, this is how.

Runners Roost Denver Wednesday Run Club, Wednesdays 6pm from the store at 1685 S Colorado Blvd. No frills, just a solid group run straight from the shop.

Colorado Harriers Tempo Thursday, Thursdays 6:30pm at Denver Beer Co (1695 Platte St). BOGO beers after the run, which tells you everything about the priorities here.

Denver Trail Runners Thursday Evening Run, Thursdays 6:15pm, foothills trailheads (location posted weekly). 60 to 75 minutes on dirt, dinner after. Good one if the pavement is getting old.

November Project Denver, Fridays 6:15am, rotating parks announced Thursdays on IG. Same deal as Wednesday: free, early, and full of people who will remember your name by week three.

Citius RC Friday Breakfast Club, Fridays 6am, rotating coffee shops. Easy pace, coffee after. Lowest pressure run on this whole list.

Union Station Farmers Market, Saturdays 8am to 1pm at Union Station Plaza. Not a workout, but it's where everyone ends up after one, and it's worth building your Saturday morning around.

Citius RC Saturday Long Run, Saturdays 7am (8am once it's cold), rotating coffee shops and running stores. About 8 miles with pace groups, so nobody gets left behind.

Denver Trail Runners Sunday Long Run, Sundays 7 to 8am, foothill and mountain trails announced weekly. One and a half to two hours. The group that will get you into actual trail shape by spring.

Cerebral Brewing Run Club, Mondays 6pm at Cerebral Brewing (1477 Monroe St). A solid way to turn the worst night of the week into one you look forward to.

Odell Brewing Run Club, Mondays 6:30pm at Odell RiNo (2945 Larimer St). Same idea, different beer list.

Runners Roost Central Park Monday Run Club, Mondays 5:45pm from the store at 7305 E 35th Ave #150. The Stapleton/Central Park version of the Monday night reset.

This Week Only

Run around City Park, Wednesday October 21 at 6:30pm. Meet in the NW corner of the museum parking lot near the City Park Running Club entrance. No frills, just a group run around the park's loop while the leaves are doing their thing.

Recover Right

Lagree Luxe Cherry Creek, Cherry Creek. Megaformer classes that build real strength without any of the gym bro posturing. Good counterweight to a week of running.

Specialty Dripps by Afton, Denver. IV drips and recovery treatments for people who trained hard and need to be functional by tomorrow morning.

Infusion IV Lounge, Uptown. A walk-in spot to get fluids and nutrients back in before you go do it all again this weekend.

Full calendar, every run club, class, and event we didn't have room for, lives at /events.
