Things to Do in Denver in December 2026

Concerts, festivals, markets, and the weekly standbys worth planning around: your full December in Denver, sorted by week.

December in Denver means two different months crammed into one. The first half is stacked with arena shows and bass music blowouts because everyone wants to get their touring plans in before the holidays eat the calendar. The second half goes dead quiet as people fly out to see family or just hole up at home with the heat cranked. Expect highs in the 30s and 40s, a few genuinely cold snaps that'll make you question every layering decision you made that morning, and still plenty of bluebird sunny days in between, because that's just how Denver winters work. If you're planning around any of the big arena stuff, Ball Arena and Mission Ballroom both have serious action packed into the first three weeks. Buy those tickets now, not later. The back half of the month is basically bare on the public calendar (classic holiday lull), so if you're free December 20th on, don't expect much beyond whatever pops up last minute. Check back closer to the date for additions.

Below is everything locked in for December 2026, organized so you can plan a whole month around it or just skim for this weekend.

The Big Ones

Gracie Abrams: The Look at My Life Tour
December 2 and 3, 8 PM, Ball Arena. Two nights, same tour, which tells you how much demand there is. This is the kind of show that sells out fast, so don't sit on it if you want in.

Jonas Brothers: The Burning Up Tour All Over Again
December 9, 7:30 PM, Ball Arena. A full arena pop show from a band that's been filling arenas for two decades now. Expect this one to move fast too, grab tickets early.

Boogie T's 360 Spectacular
December 5, 8 PM, Mission Ballroom. Boogie T is doing back to back nights at Mission this week, but this one is the built out production night. If you're into dubstep at all, this is the one to pick.

AHEE
December 19, Mission Ballroom. Closes out the bass music run that basically defines Mission Ballroom's December. Good way to end the month before things go quiet.

Colorado Avalanche home games
December 12 vs. Washington Capitals, December 14 vs. Utah Mammoth, and December 16 vs. New York Islanders, all 7 PM at Ball Arena. Three home games in five days is a good window to finally use those season ticket credits or just grab a cheap upper bowl seat and watch some hockey.

Week by Week

Early December (1st through 7th)

Jai Wolf, Conrad
December 4, 9 PM, Ogden Theatre. Future bass and downtempo, a solid pick if you want electronic music without the full dubstep chaos happening across town the same night.

Boogie T, Cyclops, Stoned Level, Shosh, Underground Selekta
December 4, 8 PM, Mission Ballroom. The opening night of Boogie T's two show Denver run, stacked with support acts if you want the full bass music lineup over the single headliner version the next night.

KSE Venue Ball Arena Tours
December 5, 1 PM, Ball Arena. A behind the scenes tour of the arena, locker rooms and all. Easy, low key thing to do with out of town family or anyone who's never been past their section before.

Mid-December (8th through 19th)

Dennett
December 11, Ogden Theatre.

Nimino
December 11, Mission Ballroom. Same night as Dennett at the Ogden, so pick your venue and your sound and go.

Lyny, Nero (DJ Set), Rohaan, Lizzy Jane
December 12, 8:30 PM, Mission Ballroom. Falls the same night as the Avalanche game across the parking lot, so it's a solid double header if you're the type to do a hockey game and then walk straight into a show.

Twin Diplomacy
December 19, Reelworks Denver. Smaller room, worth checking out if you want something that isn't an arena or Mission Ballroom this week.

Late December (20th through 31st)

Nothing's locked in on the public calendar for this stretch yet, which tracks with how Denver usually goes right before Christmas. This is the time to make your own plans, hit up a neighborhood bar, or just enjoy the fact that the city gets a little calmer for a couple weeks. Check /events closer to the date in case anything gets added last minute.

Any Day That Works

Catch an Avalanche home game. Three dates this month (12/12, 12/14, 12/16) means you've got real flexibility here. Pick whichever night fits your week and just go watch hockey at Ball Arena.

Mission Ballroom's bass music run. Boogie T on 12/4, Boogie T's 360 Spectacular on 12/5, Lyny and Nero on 12/12, and AHEE on 12/19. If dubstep and bass music are your thing, there's basically a show every week or two all month.

Ogden Theatre's weeknight shows. Jai Wolf and Conrad on 12/4, Dennett on 12/11. The Ogden keeps a steady run of midweek shows going, good spot to check before committing to a weekend plan.

The Ball Arena venue tour. One date is listed (12/5), but these tours tend to run periodically, so it's worth checking directly with the venue if you missed this one and still want to see behind the scenes.

The always current calendar lives at /events.
