Game Day: Broncos vs. Chiefs at Mile High, Sunday at 2:25pm

The 5-2 Broncos host the 5-1 Chiefs at Empower Field on Sunday at 2:25pm, plus bars showing it and how to ride the train.

Clear your Sunday afternoon, because the Broncos host the Chiefs today. Kickoff is 2:25 p.m. MT at Empower Field at Mile High, and our event page has the basics.

This one has real stakes. Denver is 5-2, Kansas City is 5-1, and the Broncos are going for a fourth straight win plus their second in the AFC West. If you don't have tickets, a TV and a beer will do fine.

The matchup

Records first: the Broncos are 5-2 and the Chiefs are 5-1 going into Week 8, per the Broncos' how-to-watch page (checked 2026-11-01).

Denver is coming off a Week 7 win over Arizona where Bo Nix led an offense that put up 30 points and 377 yards, according to the same page. The Broncos are also 3-0 at home this season, per denverbroncos.com (checked 2026-11-01), and the team keeps talking up home-field advantage. Against the division rival with the better record, that home streak is the thing to watch.

Watching from a bar

Players Pub at 8 S Broadway in Baker is tagged as a sports bar in our listing, with local beer and an affordable, neighborhood feel. It's at 4.5 stars on Google from 249 reviews (as of 2026-05-02).

Sobo 151 Bar & Grill is just down the street at 151 S Broadway. The listing mentions pool tables and "decent TVs for games," and it's a dive with burgers and a $ price level. Google has it at 4.6 stars from 1053 reviews (as of 2026-05-02). If you want cheap and loud, this is the pick.

Run For The Roses at 1801 Blake St #10 in LoDo is also tagged as a sports bar, with a cocktail and bourbon angle that sets it apart from the beer-and-burger crowd. It sits at 4.4 stars on Google from 330 reviews (as of 2026-05-02). Good for a group that wants a proper drink with the game.

Pregame near the venue

We don't have any top-rated spots on file right by the stadium. If you're heading to the game, the cleaner move is to pregame somewhere along your train route. Run For The Roses in LoDo works for that if you're transferring at Union Station, since the A Line connects to the stadium trains there.

Getting there and home

The E and W light rail lines stop at Empower Field at Mile High Station, which is an 8-minute walk to the stadium. The W also stops at Decatur-Federal. That's per the stadium fan guide (checked 2026-11-01).

Coming from elsewhere on the system, take the D or H line and switch to the E at 10th & Osage, or ride the A Line and switch to the E or W at Union Station, per the same guide.
