Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (September 16)

The best of Wednesday and Thursday in Denver: shows, socials, and reasons the weekend can wait.

Real talk: Wednesday and Thursday are stacked enough this week that "I'll just wait for the weekend" is a weak excuse. Red Rocks has two different legit shows back to back, there's a honky tonk throwing free dance lessons, and Thursday's got comedy, hip hop, and a trivia night with $10 pizza. Pick your fighter and go.

Tonight

WEEZER: The Gathering, 7:00pm at Ball Arena. Blue album energy on a Wednesday. You know every word, don't pretend you don't.

Role Model Presents: Chuck On Tour with Samia, 7:30pm at Red Rocks. If you'd rather be outside under the stars than in an arena, this is your move tonight.

US Open Cup Semi-Final: Colorado Rapids vs St. Louis CITY SC, 7:30pm at Dick's Sporting Goods Park. A real playoff atmosphere on a random Wednesday, that's rare and worth the drive to Commerce City.

Gathr — Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose. Free lesson, no cliques, board games after. Wear boots you don't mind sweating in.

HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Free group run followed by dinner and drink specials, which is honestly the whole point of going.

Tomorrow

Get The Led Out, 7:30pm at Red Rocks. The best Zeppelin tribute touring right now, and Red Rocks on a Thursday night hits different.

Gym Class Heroes (16 and Over), 8:00pm at Mission Ballroom. Nostalgia show of the week, "Cupid's Chokehold" will absolutely be played and you will absolutely sing along.

Michael Blaustein, 7:00pm at Comedy Works. Sharp, fast, no filler. Grab the earlier set so you're not out past midnight on a school night.

The Outsiders (Touring), 7:30pm at Buell Theatre. The Tony-winning musical version of the movie you already love, in town for one week only.

Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7:00pm at Denver Milk Market. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and trivia questions that are actually hard. Bring a team, guessing solo is a losing strategy.

L'Apero de Denver French Happy Hour, 7:00pm, location rotates weekly (email in for the WhatsApp). Good wine, good patio, easy way to meet new people without the whole "so what do you do" small talk spiral.

Colorado Harriers - Tempo Thursday, 6:30pm at Denver Beer Company. Run first, then BOGO beers. That's the deal, and it's a good one.
