New in Denver This Week (August 17)

The spots that just opened their doors to our directory and the events that just hit the calendar: your Monday briefing on what's new in Denver.

Monday's here and so is your excuse to stop scrolling Instagram for plans. This week's roundup is heavy on strength gyms, boxing studios, and yoga spots (apparently Denver decided to get its life together this month), plus a genuinely stacked run of concerts hitting Red Rocks, Fiddler's Green, and Mission Ballroom.

Quick reminder: "new" here means new to our directory, not necessarily new to Denver. Some of these places have been around for years and just never made it onto our radar until now.

Just Announced

Nathaniel Rateliff with The Colorado Symphony Orchestra, Tue Aug 18 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. He's relaunching his solo tour with a full orchestra behind him, this is not the bar band version.

Muse, Tue Aug 18 at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre. Full arena rock spectacle, get there early for the light show alone.

Joe Russo's Almost Dead, Thu Aug 20 at Mission Ballroom. Jam heads know exactly why this one matters, everyone else should just go for the drums.

Thee Sacred Souls x LA LOM: The Constellation Tour, Thu Aug 20 at JUNKYARD. Soul and Peruvian cumbia on the same bill, this one's smooth from start to finish.

Courtney Barnett, Fri Aug 21 at Mission Ballroom. New album, same dry wit, still one of the best lyricists touring right now.

RÜFÜS DU SOL North America 2026, Sat Aug 22 at Folsom Field. Stadium show in Boulder, worth the drive.

Reggae on the Rocks 2026, Sat Aug 22 at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. An annual favorite for a reason, bring sunscreen and low expectations for parking.

A Great Night in Hip Hop: Nas & The Roots, Tue Aug 25 at JUNKYARD. Nas backed by The Roots is about as good as a hip hop bill gets in this city.

Daniel Caesar: Son Of Spergy Tour, Wed Aug 26 at Ball Arena. Slow burn R&B for the people who still text "u up" unironically.

My Chemical Romance: The Black Parade 2026, Thu Aug 27 at Coors Field. A stadium sized emo revival, your 2006 playlist is about to become a full body experience.

Megan Moroney: The Cloud 9 Tour, Thu Aug 27 at Ball Arena. Country's current "it" girl, expect a crowd that knows every word.

Dave Matthews Band, Fri Aug 28 at Fiddler's Green Amphitheatre. A Colorado summer staple for over 30 years, still packs the lawn every single time.
