Game Day: Avs Host the Devils at Ball Arena, Wednesday at 7pm

The Avs host a Devils team that beat them 4-3 last week, Wednesday at 7pm at Ball Arena, plus bars, pregame and the train.

The Avs get a shot at the Devils tonight, and New Jersey owes them one less than you'd think, since they already won the first meeting. Puck drops Wednesday, October 28 at 7pm at Ball Arena, down in the Central Platte Valley between LoDo and I-25.

Details and tickets live on our event page. Here's the matchup, where to watch if you're not inside, and how to get home without paying for a parking spot.

The matchup

The Devils won the first one 4-3 on Oct. 20 in New Jersey. Artturi Lehkonen scored both Colorado goals, and the Avs couldn't find the tying one (ESPN, Oct. 28, 2026).

New Jersey shows up on a win streak, but they're playing about 25 hours after their game against Dallas, per the NHL's Devils preview (Oct. 28, 2026). Back-to-back on the road, at altitude. Make of that what you will.

The same preview has Colorado scoring 4.08 goals a game, second-best in the NHL, while allowing 3.25. So expect the Avs to score. Whether they stop anybody is the open question.

Getting there and home

There's also an RTD bus stop next to the arena at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway (Ball Arena). For your exact route and the late trains home, use RTD's trip planner before you leave.
