Midweek in Denver: Tonight & Tomorrow (July 29)

The best of Wednesday and Thursday in Denver: shows, socials, and reasons the weekend can wait.

Okay real talk, weekends are overrated anyway. You've got two solid nights right in front of you before Friday even shows up, and honestly Wednesday and Thursday this week are stacked harder than most Saturdays.

Red Rocks is doing double duty back to back, there's a metal show, a French happy hour, and enough run clubs and board game tables to fill a whole social calendar. Pick your lane and go.

Tonight

Parker McCollum, 7:30pm at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Gary Allan and Josh Abbott Band open, so you're getting three solid country acts under the stars on a Wednesday. This is the move if you want a real night out.

Poppy: Constantly Nowhere Tour, 6pm at the Fillmore. If you're more into loud and weird than boots and belt buckles, this is your pick instead.

Grizzly Rose Line Dancing Night, 6:30pm at Grizzly Rose, 5450 N Valley Highway. Free lesson, no cliques, then board games after. Low pressure way to try something new mid-week.

Nature x Solutions Denver Happy Hour, 5:30pm at Barquentine Brewing Company. Easy, casual, meet some people before you decide what else you're doing tonight.

HTB Run Club, 6:30pm at Highland Tap & Burger. Free run, then dinner and drink specials right after. This is the whole "earn your beer" plan in one stop.

The Denver Boardgames Meetup, 6pm at Edgewater Public Market. Biggest board game crew in the city, 7,000-plus members, always a table open for whoever shows up.

Tomorrow

Killer Queen, 8pm at Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The world's best Queen tribute band, at Red Rocks, on a Thursday. You don't need another reason.

Benson Boone: Wanted Man Tour, 8pm at Ball Arena. If you want the big pop show with the flips and the moment everyone's filming, this is it.

Chiodos: It's Not You, It's Me Tour, 6pm at the Fillmore. Scream the lyrics you thought you forgot from 2008. Cheap therapy.

L'Apero de Denver French Happy Hour, 7pm, rotating bars like Forest Room 5 and Barcelona Wine Bar. Email in, get added to the group chat, show up to a good patio with wine in hand. Very civilized way to spend a Thursday.

Geeks Who Drink Trivia, 7pm at Denver Milk Market, 1800 Wazee St. $10 pizzas, $10 drinks, and trivia that actually makes you think. Downtown's go-to for a reason.

Colorado Harriers Tempo Thursday, 6:30pm at Denver Beer Company, 1695 Platte St. Free tempo run, BOGO beers right after. Simple math: run, then don't pay full price for beer.

Full lineup for both nights and everything after at /events.
